Abstract Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a promising cancer treatment that selectively destroys tumor cells using beam. However, accurately and fast measuring the spatial distribution of flux critical to ensuring effective treatment. To address this challenge, Micromegas detectors are applied for first time measure beam in BNCT. Due high flux, large area, multiple components BNCT beam, design readout electronics can handle counting rate, channel numbers, integration, discrimination challenging. This paper proposes targeted system overcome challenge. A modular structure based on PCI Express (PXIe) platform designed 384-channel readout. fully parallel developed shaper parameters optimized achieve rate each channel. multi-channel high-speed, large-capacity caching technique high-speed data storage problem. Digital shapers implemented field-programmable gate array (FPGA) integration. Tests demonstrate support 800 kHz an excellent position resolution 1.4 mm. Furthermore, final tests confirm our successfully different components.
